Sushiko successfully became the first Japanese restaurant that had a franchise chain developed in Italy with more than 60 active restaurants located in major Italian city centers and food courts. It is largely recognized to be the first brand introducing “all you can eat formula” in Italy. This strategy led Sushiko to an enormous commercial success with a steady growth of 10 – 15 new openings every year.

Sushiko new desserts launch campaign
The tagline “Happy Ending?” makes light of a scandal that was revealed in Italy in 2015, when police officers discovered that several Chinese massage parlors were giving customers “other types of services” in place of regular massages. The campaign gained 25 million+ views and thousands of likes, shares, and comments.

A meteor that passed quite close to earth and was highly seen by everyone immediately inspired a marketing effort.
Sushiko Valentine’s Day 2017 campaign
The phrase “Resushita la passione” is a wordplay that translates to “Revive the passion,” substituting the word “sushi” for the correct form “Resuscita.” The ad gained tens of thousands of likes and comments, went viral, reached over 30 million people, and turned into a meme that was shared among friends on Whatsapp.

2018 Women’s Day marketing campaign. The catchphrase was picked since the offer (free strawberries and Nutella Maki for every woman) was carried over from the previous year. It was launched on social media and reached over 15 million users, sparking thousands of interactions.
